Magician casting a spell

Created with funding from

The National Lottery Community Fund.

In collaboration with Little Havens Hospice.

Magical Moggie was originally developed in 2018 and 2019 as an in-person at home show for children and young people with complex needs and life-limiting illnesses, many of whom have little to no access to theatre and the arts.

The show was set to tour to peoples homes, whether it be performed in a living room, a bedroom or even a garden. Over 2018 and 2019 we collaboratively developed Magical Moggie with children and their families who attend and use services at Demelza Hospice, Kent and Little Havens Hospice, Essex - with plans to tour Magical Moggie to families in June - August 2020.

Then COVID hit and our plans were put on pause. Over Summer and Autumn 2020, the team regrouped and reimaged the show. Exploring and developing ways to creatively deliver a reimagined version of Magical Moggie to children and their families.

We then created 'Magical Moggie A Musical Adventure!'

Magical Moggie A Musical Adventure tells an original story through real-life sounds and music. The stimulating, sensory score places you in different environments allowing the audience to experience each moment as it happens right in you ears. It takes you on a magical journey with the Magician and her best friend Moggie the cat!

Full of surprises and accidental spells that zap the pair into unexpected scenarios, Magical Moggie A Musical Adventure is a playful treat for children with complex needs aged 0-12.  There will be two options for how to experience Magical Moggie A Musical Adventure.

Option one: to listen to the stand-alone soundtrack and explore the story through sound.

Option two: to explore the soundtrack accompanied by a digital storybook, in which illustrations will move in time to the music.
