Magical Moggie was originally developed in 2018 and 2019 as an in-person at home show for children and young people with complex needs and life-limiting illnesses, many of whom have little to no access to theatre and the arts. The goal was the reach an audience who, as many families expressed, felt as though they'd been forgotten about.
The show was set to tour to peoples homes, whether it be performed in a living room, a bedroom or even a garden. Over 2018 and 2019 we collaboratively developed Magical Moggie with children and their families who attend and use services at Demelza Hospice, Kent and Little Havens Hospice, Essex - with plans to tour Magical Moggie to families in June - August 2020.
Then COVID hit and our plans were put on pause. Over Summer and Autumn 2020, the team regrouped and reimaged the show. Exploring and developing ways to creatively deliver a reimagined version of Magical Moggie to children and their families.
We're very excited to be working on this new version, set to be released in December 2020. More information coming very soon.
