When I first became aware of the work of Natalya Martin I was fascinated to see the varied and skilful ways in which she deployed multi-sensory theatre techniques. As a long-time practitioner of interactive and sensory theatre with the company I founded, Oily Cart, I could see parallels between her methods and those of my company but it was clear that she had a refreshing originality and energy.
